A Well Detailed Day-wise Itinerary for the Char Dham Yatra by Taxi

Day 4 Again, Barkot to Uttarkashi

Day 5 Uttarkashi to Gangotri

For reaching Gangotri, you have to make a drive of 100 km that will take around 6 hours. Gangotri is a town around the Gangotri temple. This temple is one of the holiest places and considered one of the important Dhams. Gangotri is the important temple of river Ganga that is situated at an altitude of 3042 m. The next day, you start your trip with a 200 km drive Guptkashi. It will take around 7-8 hours of drive. You are suggested to go for a night stay in Guptkashi. The next day, start your Char Dham yatra by driving 31 km from Guptkashi to Sonprayag. From there, you need to make a 20 km walk or trek to reach Kedarnath.

Kedarnath is undoubtedly a popular pilgrimage destination for Hindus which is also among the Char Dhams. This Dham is situated at an altitude of 3584 m near Chorabari Glacier which is also known as the “head of river Mandakini”. Day 8: Kedarnath to Rudraprayag

Day 9: Rudraprayag to Badrinath

Day 10: Badrinath to Haridwar
